Shooting on Osprey Lane
On November 23, 2020 at 10:46 p.m., the Hardee County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call in regards to the shooting of a person on Osprey Lane in Wauchula, FL. The caller stated a person had been shot and needed an ambulance.
Deputies arrived on scene within seven minutes and were directed into a residence where a person (name and information is being withheld due to Marsy’s Law) was found lying on the floor from an apparent gunshot. Hardee County Fire Rescue arrived on scene once it was determined to be safe and transported the victim to Advent Health Wauchula where they were then flown to a trauma center.
As of November 25, 2020, the victim is still hospitalized and listed as in critical condition. Investigators are still working to follow up on all leads into the shooting.
