Two juveniles are responsible for burglarizing the Hardee County Recreation Complex and the Hardee Senior High Baseball Complex in Wauchula, Florida.

On April 7, 2019 around 4 p.m., deputies responded to a reported burglary at the Hardee County Recreation Complex, located at 745 Recreation Complex Drive in Wauchula, Fl. As deputies arrived, they noticed a shattered window and the doors of the complex building to be opened.

The door to where the safe is stored had a huge hole in it, a fire extinguisher had been discharged all over the floor and various items from the concession stand were scattered throughout.

As deputies were inspecting the building, they heard voices coming from the P.A. speaker at the adjacent Hardee Senior High Baseball Complex and located two boys, ages 10 and 12, wearing Hardee Senior High baseball attire in the press box.

The children’s parents were notified of the incident and both boys were taken to the Bartow Juvenile Assessment Center.

The collective charges of the juveniles include preventing or obstructing extinguishment of fire, five counts of burglarizing an unoccupied structure with no weapons, property damage $200 or less and property damage over $200.
