Cybertips submitted to the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children resulted in the arrest of 40 year old Samuel Kersey of Bowling Green, Florida.
On May 28, 2019, the social networking site, Facebook, reported a cybertip to N.C.M.E.C. concerned with online enticement regarding pre-travel and possible child pornography in messages exchanged between Kersey and his victim.
After further investigation, the victim told detectives pornographic images and videos were exchanged with Kersey. He also asked the victim to travel to his residence so they could meet. He reportedly told the victim he was on house arrest, but would arrange for someone to pick him/her up and deliver him/her to his home.
Samuel Kersey was arrested and booked into the Hardee County Jail on July 19, 2019 by Detective David Drake. Charges consist of obscene communication with a minor through a computer, soliciting a child to engage in a sexual act, and five counts of violation of community control.
Kersey is currently on community control with the Florida Department of Corrections as a violent felony offender.
