Drug dealer arrested

The Hardee County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force made an arrest stemming from a lengthy criminal investigation, which resulted in 24 charges.

On April 12, 2019, a traffic stop was conducted on a 2013 black Cadillac SUV driven by Fatema Mariner, who had been under surveillance for several months. Intel was received that Mariner had been conducting illegal drug sales in the Hardee County area. A vehicle search revealed numerous amounts of drug equipment, methamphetamine and cocaine. Throughout the investigation, Mariner sold approximately 156.1 grams of methamphetamine and .65 grams of cocaine in illegal drug transactions.

Mariner was arrested and has 24 charges pending against her.

A multitude of charges include trafficking methamphetamine, selling drugs within 1,000 feet of a child care facility / school / public park / church / public housing, illegal use of a 2 way communication device, possession of narcotic equipment and cocaine possession, only to name a few.
