The Patrol Division consists of four squads working twelve hour shifts. Each squad is assigned a Sergeant and a K-9 Unit. 

The Patrol Division is responsible for all unincorporated areas of the county, totaling 635 square miles, which is divided into two patrol zones and a Roaver to provide efficient coverage with a faster response time.

Lieutenant Andrew McGuckin is the Patrol Commander in charge of all operations and training as it relates to the Patrol Division.

In recent years, technology has played a greater role in effective law enforcement and the Hardee County Sheriff's Office is no different. 

Our deputies are equipped with the latest in mobile data technology as well as the latest in voice and video capabilities. These advances add to the effectiveness of our patrol division as well as increased deputy visibility and safety.
