On June 25, 2004 the Hardee County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force conducted a reverse sting in the area of Lincoln Street. Located south of Wauchula, FL. The operation consisted of an undercover officer replacing street level drug dealers. Customers would approach the undercover officer and solicit the sales of illegal drugs and subsequently said customers were taken into custody. This operation started at approximately 3:45 p.m. and was shut down at approximately 7:30 p.m. due to inclement weather. The operation resulted in the arrest of 9 adults and 1 juvenile.
Approximately 20 officers representing the Hardee County Sheriff’s Office, Wauchula Police Dept., Highlands County Sheriff’s Office, Sebring Police Dept. and the Florida Highway Patrol participated in the operation.
