Polygraph

  Other tools utilized during criminal investigations is Polygraph.  Suspected criminals may be asked to submit to a polygraph as a part of the investigation.  The Hardee County Sheriff's Office currently has two polygraphist certified with the Axciton Computerized Polygraph Instrument.  Both polygraphist are outstanding members of the Florida Polygraph Association (A division of the American Polygraph Association) and the American Society of Testing Materials (A.S.T.M.).  In compliance with Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation Standards, new job applicants are also polygraphed as a part of the hiring process.
