1.
Inmates in general population are allowed two (2) hours of
visitation per week. Only one (1) adult
visitor per inmate shall be allowed in the visitation area at a time, approved
minors will be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, at all times.
2.
Each visitor is
required to register, using photo identification, before visiting and can only
visit the inmate they signed up for.
3.
Only those listed on
inmate’s approved visitation list will be allowed to visit.
4.
No items may be
brought in for an inmate, unless prior approval has been granted by the
Sheriff, Detention Administrator or his designee.
5.
No children under
the age of 14 will be allowed to visit.
6.
Children 14-17 are
not permitted to visit unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
7.
Defacing the
visitation area shall result in cancellation of visit and future visits.
8.
Visitors who are
unruly or under the visible influence of drugs or alcohol will be denied
visitation.
9.
Yelling, loud
conversations, obscene and/or offensive gestures, acts, or language is strictly
prohibited.
10.
All visitors will be
appropriately dressed to include shirt/blouse, slacks/dress/shorts and
shoes/footwear. No bathing suits, short
shorts, tank tops, bra-less tops, or any type of sheer clothing are allowed.
11.
No personal
property, food, or drinks are allowed in the visitation area.
12.
If you or your
visitor leave the visiting area for any reason, the visit is terminated.
13.
Violation of these
rules may result in termination of visit and/or disciplinary action against the
inmate.
14.
If the visitor has
been incarcerated in the Hardee County Jail for 30 days or more during the past
12 months, they will not be allowed to visit.

If you wish to send money to an inmate, you may do so by mail or by placing the money order in the “Drop Box” located on the visitation entry door. Please send money order to:
(Inmate Name), (Case History Number)

Make the money order payable to the inmate and be sure to include his/her Case History Number. If you do not know the Case History Number, please call (863) 767-9042. This will eliminate any problems if more than inmate has the same name.
