The Hardee County Detention Facility’s Inmate Commissary is operated by one (1) full-time civilian employee.

The civilian commissary clerk is responsible for opening and managing inmate accounts, entering money orders and placing orders for inmate commissary items through the Detentions Facility’s vendor, Swanson.

Commissary orders are placed to Swanson on Wednesdays and received by inmates on Thursday evenings.

All moneys for an inmate’s commissary order must be in the inmate’s “Commissary Account” before an inmate’s order can be processed.
